Tribe Development was a co-development partner to the A$511 million East Rockingham Waste to Energy facility located in Perth, Western Australia.
The project achieved financial close in December 2019 following a multi-year development phase that included banking Australia’s first “waste arising” waste supply contract, a contract that does not penalise municipal customers through reducing volumes through better waste avoidance practices.
The project is directly supported by the Australian Government with grant funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and debt finance from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.
