J-Power partners with Markham for hydropower projects in Mindanao, Philippines

Markham Resources Corporation (Markham) entered into a partnership agreement with Japan’s Electric Power Development Co., Ltd (J-Power) to co-invest in and operate two hydroelectric projects located in Mindanao, Philippines.
Tribe Infrastructure Group served as the sole financial advisor to Markham throughout this transaction.
Under this agreement, J-Power will acquire a 40% stake in Lake Mainit Hydro Holdings Corporation (LMHHC) and Bukidnon Hydro Energy Corporation (BHEC). The investment highlights J-Power’s continued engagement and strategic commitment to the energy sector in the Philippines.
J-Power is an international power generation company with over six decades of industry experience. It maintains a diverse generation portfolio comprising 26.6GW of installed capacity across various energy sources worldwide.
