Ali Dongula is an Associate Director at Tribe, with experience spanning direct infrastructure investments and transaction advisory across the UK, Europe, and the MENA region.
He joined Tribe in 2025 from Nuveen Infrastructure, where he was involved in originating, executing, and managing infrastructure transactions, with a focus on energy and sustainable assets.
At Tribe, Ali supports investors, developers, and public sector clients across a range of PPP and project finance mandates.
OVERVIEW
Ali joined Tribe in 2025 from Nuveen Infrastructure (UK). Prior to Nuveen Infrastructure, Ali gained extensive experience with Green Investment Group (UK), Macquarie Capital (UAE) and EY (UAE) covering transactions advisory and direct investments.
At both Nuveen Infrastructure and Green Investment Group, Ali was part of the investment team covering European renewable energy investments in Solar (C&I and utility scale), Wind (onshore and offshore), and Battery Storage (BESS, stand-alone and co-located) projects.
Prior to moving to the UK in 2019, Ali was based in the UAE, working with Macquarie Capital and EY covering transactions advisory across the MENA region.
Other than renewables, Ali has transactions advisory experience across various infrastructure sub-sectors including Water, Wastewater, District Cooling, and Real Estate.

Financial Advisor for the acquisition of a 47 MW onshore wind portfolio (two projects) in Sweden, including deal origination, due diligence management, and negotiation of transaction documentation.
Financial Advisor for the acquisition of a 30 MW onshore wind portfolio (two projects) in Finland, responsible for due diligence, internal approvals, and transaction execution.
Financial Advisor for the acquisition of a 187 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio (seven projects) in the UK, including financial modelling, due diligence, and investment committee approvals.
Financial Advisor on the sell-side M&A of Shuaibah IWPP, supporting financial modelling, preparation of marketing materials, and coordination with external advisors.
Financial Advisor on the sell-side M&A of a district cooling plant, including transaction preparation and external adviser management.
Financial Advisor to the Government of Egypt for the Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Project, supporting financial modelling, risk register development, and client workshop delivery.
