Terry Chen is an Analyst at Tribe and a core member of the Advisory team.
He has experience in project finance, M&A, and capital formation, and focuses on providing commercial and transaction support to ensure the delivery of key workstreams across the deal cycle.
Since joining Tribe in 2025, Terry has contributed to a range of procurer-side mandates, as well as bid support and strategic advisory engagements.
OVERVIEW
Terry has a background in financial modelling, transaction execution, risk analysis, and private capital fundraising in MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the EU/UK, with experience spanning financial services, technology, consumer, and energy sectors.
Prior to joining Tribe, he worked in the Investor Relations team at D. E. Shaw, supporting capital raising and relationship management initiatives for their Private Equity and Private Credit Funds.
Terry is fluent in English and Mandarin. He holds an MSc in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (summa cum laude) from New York University Abu Dhabi (“NYUAD”).
